Who am I?

The elevator just closed and you’ve got 30 seconds to pitch the random reader on who you are and why they should read your rants.

Over the past 10+ years as the Director of Sales / sometimes Implementation Manager in the applicant tracking space, the ever-changing focuses, buzz words, and trends can be mind boggling.  While experience teaches you that “some things never change”, reality says that if the technology you offer does NOT keep up with the industry, relevance suffers.   How do you help your customers know the difference?  That’s our challenge.  As a member of the team working in product development for myStaffingPro, we work hard to stay ahead of the curve.

Name the actor/actress that will portray you in the movie about you.  Why is that a fit?

Would anyone believe that it would be Rene Russo – smart, fearless, and she’s about my age!

My first car was a “junker” and here’s how it defined who I am.

Cars mean no more to me than 4 wheels to get me where I want to go.  I am spoiled now and insist on air conditioning, a working radio, and power locks.  I truly am a “bare bones” kind of girl.

What is your favorite song, and how does it relate to who you are?

Give me pretty much any song with a message (keep it clean) and a melody and I’ll sing it.  I love music and have been singing away since I can remember.  I’ve survived my brothers’ humiliating teasing, forgetting my words during a solo, and getting blinded by a spotlight so I wouldn’t get stage fright.

If you could trade places with a celebrity for a day, who would you choose and why?

It would be fun to be Rachel Ray for a day, although I’m not sure I have the energy to make through an entire day with her schedule.  I love to cook, I love to teach, and I love to eat!
