Annual reviews shouldn’t be limited to just your personnel. When was the last time that you gave your software an annual review? (Was there a different president in office, or were the Olympics taking place in Salt Lake City?)
Before you blindly sign on for another year, ask yourself:
- Where are the bottlenecks in my process and how can technology help?
- What tasks are we still completing manually?
- Did we implement any “work arounds” to finagle the software to meet our needs? If so, why and how can it be resolved?
- Can our software be integrated into a seamless solution? Consider integrating your applicant tracking system (ATS) with your HRIS, background vendor, behavioral assessment, E-Verify process, sourcing initiatives, onboarding, etc.
Next, contact your vendor and ask them what solutions they have available to meet your new requirements. Who knows, it might be something that they’ve had all along.
