We asked the Director of HR at BMI Federal Credit Union what she thought about myStaffingPro. Below are her responses to our brief interview.
What is your experience with using an applicant tracking system?
Prior to implementing myStaffingPro we had a manual system. This is my first experience with implementing and using an applicant tracking system.
How long have you been using myStaffingPro?
I have been using myStaffingPro for about a year.
How has myStaffingPro affected your processes (i.e. cost effectiveness, time to fill, etc.)
We’ve saved about 7 hours per hire in the hiring process (includes both HR and hiring manager.) We saved about 24 hours in the Affirmative Action Plan reporting process. Our time-to-fill is gradually decreasing as efficiency with the system improves. We’re hoping to reduce our TTF from 4 weeks down to 3 weeks. With the hours and TTF changes, this is approximately a $14K annual savings.
What is your favorite myStaffingPro feature?
My favorite feature is that hiring managers can access the system to view application information. I used to fax or scan/email the information to them. They also are prompted to use the selection comments feature which greatly improved our documentation for hiring selections. My other favorite feature is the collection of Affirmative Action Plan demographic data at the onset of the selection process. In our manual process, it was a struggle to gather and track this data. In addition, myStaffingPro produces demographic reports which helps us monitor our AAP more easily throughout the year.
What would you say to other HR professionals about myStaffingPro?
myStaffingPro has simplified our application and selection process, and as a result improved our cost effectiveness. This is a great product for small to medium sized employers looking to improve their selection process. What HR person wouldn’t want to reduce paper pushing!
With all the time you have saved since using MSP, what do you do with your extra time?
The less time spent with administrative items that better. I’ve been able to tackle additional strategic HR projects, like identifying and implementing a wellness program as well as a new performance management system. myStaffingPro has enabled me to be a greater strategic value to my organization.
