How to Avoid Onboarding Red Flags for Employees
Some companies go through the time and expense to recruit, but then fumble the onboarding process for new hires. Yet, a positive onboarding experience sets the tone for your new hire’s success. Here’s how:

Welcome new hires even before they arrive on Day 1. An onboarding system can be customized with a formal Welcome Letter from the CEO, as well as a more casual Welcome Video that gives a taste of the company’s culture.

Give new hires tools for efficiency and effectiveness. An onboarding software contains the paperwork for new hires to complete electronically. From any online computer, new hires can complete the paperwork at their own pace and time.

Relay important Day 1 tips. HR Managers can also customize an online boarding system with
helpful Day 1 tips. This can include a map of where to park, guidance for which building to enter, and a checklist of what the new hire will need for Security Credentials.

Be sure to comply with applicable wage and hours laws where employees are permitted to complete this process outside of working hours.
